Enhanced Breast Augmentation

Innovations Medical is the first to offer a new, exciting procedure, the Enhanced Breast Augmentation. This Enhanced Breast Augmentation marks an exciting, new innovation in cosmetic surgery. It offers all of the benefits of traditional augmentation, but without the extensive pain, recovery time, and cost of traditional cosmetic surgery.

What is an Enhanced Breast Augmentation?

The Enhanced Breast Augmentation results in a much higher rate of successful fat transfer than traditional Breast Augmentation. It takes the fat from unwanted places, like the belly, back, and thighs, and transfers it into the breasts, creating a fuller, rounder look. The new, enhanced procedure is also safer than traditional surgical procedures, and the result is more natural in both look and feel. This enhanced method will give patients amazing results that last.

There are many benefits to the Enhanced Breast Augmentation. For one, it’s less invasive than implants, doesn’t require general anesthesia or large incisions, and it doesn’t cause allergic reactions. However, the one setback to traditional Breast Augmentation was that not all of the fat cells would survive the procedure. Fat cell survival rates hovered around 50-70 percent, resulting in less volume over time. But the new, Enhanced Breast Augmentation surpasses fat transfers of the past.

How does the Enhanced Breast Augmentation procedure work?

This new technology increases the amount of fat that survives transfer, by using ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy) to pre-treat the fat. This activates the fat prior to transfer, and results in increased fat survival post-transfer. Not only does it promise a better survival rate, but it’s quick, painless, and more affordable.

Prior to beginning liposuction, both the breasts and the area to be liposuctioned are treated with ESWT.  ESWT is painless and takes only a few minutes.  Then under local anesthesia and mild sedation, we remove the fat cells from the excess areas using liposuction. First, we mark the areas for liposuction. Then we inject a local anesthetic into both the area to be liposuctioned and the area to be augmented. Then we remove the fat cells from the excess areas, and the fat is collected in a sterile container. From there, the fat is separated from the fluid and injected into the area to be augmented, using special cannulas (thin blunt tubes). Research has shown pretreating the fat with ESWT increases the survival of the fat after grafting. It also causes growth that helps the fat establish itself in the breast.

Enhanced Breast Augmentation results can also get a boost from supplements that help fat survival. Available at any pharmacy, these have been shown to enhance fat cell survival, which means greater, long-lasting results. You should take this supplement every night for the first six weeks after your procedure.

Who is an ideal candidate for an Enhanced Breast Augmentation?

The ideal candidate for the Enhanced Breast Augmentation is looking to change the shape and/or size of their breasts and also has an area with fat they want reduced. You get two benefits in one procedure, resulting in increased self esteem and confidence in both the harvest area and the augmented area. The Enhanced Breast Augmentation is a great fit for patients who are happy with the overall shape of their body, and just want to see changes in their breasts.

How much is an Enhanced Breast Augmentation?

The cost of an Enhanced Breast Augmentation can vary, depending on how many areas are liposuctioned. It generally starts around $5,000-$6,000 for one liposuction area and one fat transfer area. When a fat transfer is combined with an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), it can cost $12,000 or more.

How long does it take to recover from an Enhanced Breast Augmentation?

Both mild swelling and bruising is common, however most breasts do not swell or bruise badly. Usually, the bruising is gone within two weeks and the swelling within six weeks. Mild swelling and bruising on the augmented area is the most typical. While swelling should be gone quickly, you should expect to see continuous improvements in your shape for at least six months.
