What is an Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)?
The Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) boasts a much higher fat transfer success rate than the traditional Brazilian Butt Lift. It transfers fat from unwanted places, like the belly, back, and thighs, to the buttocks, creating a fuller, more contoured look. It’s also safer than traditional surgical procedures, and it results in a much more natural look and feel. With this new, enhanced method, patients will see amazing results that last.
Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift Benefits
The Enhanced BBL brings many benefits, including:

However, the one setback to traditional BBL was that not all of the fat cells would survive the procedure. Fat cell survival rates hovered around 50-70 percent, resulting in less volume over time. But the new, Enhanced BBL surpasses fat transfers of the past.
How does the Enhanced BBL procedure work?
This new technology increases the amount of fat that survives transfer, by using ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy) to pre-treat the fat. This activates the fat prior to transfer, and results in increased fat survival post-transfer. Not only does it promise a better survival rate, but it’s quick, painless, and more affordable.
Prior to beginning liposuction, both the buttocks and the area to be liposuctioned are treated with ESWT. ESWT is painless and takes only a few minutes. Then under local anesthesia and mild sedation, we remove the fat cells from the excess areas using liposuction. First, we inject a local anesthetic into both the area to be liposuctioned and the area to be augmented. Then we remove the fat cells from the excess areas, and the fat is collected in a sterile container. From there, the fat is separated from the fluid and injected into the area to be augmented, using special cannulas (thin blunt tubes).
Who is an ideal candidate for an Enhanced BBL?
The ideal candidate for the Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift is looking to change the shape and/or size of their buttocks and also has an area with fat they want reduced. You’ll get two benefits in one procedure, resulting in increased self esteem and confidence in both the harvest area and the augmented area. The Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift is a great fit for patients who are happy with the overall shape of their body, and just want to see changes in their buttocks.
How much does an Enhanced BBL cost?
The cost of an Enhanced Brazilian Butt Lift depends on how many areas of liposuction are performed. It typically starts at $5,000-$6,000 for one liposuction area and one fat transfer area. When fat transfer is combined with abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), it can be $12,000 or more.
How long does it take to recover from an Enhanced BBL?
While mild swelling and bruising is common, most buttocks do not swell or bruise badly. Typically, bruising is gone within two weeks and swelling within six weeks. Mild swelling and bruising on the augmented area is most typical. While swelling should be gone quickly, you’ll continue to see improvements in your shape for at least six months.
