Christy Smith

Christy grew up in West Lafayette, IN, and graduated from Benton Central High School. She attended the University of Arkansas on a basketball scholarship, graduating with a BA in Exercise Science and an MA in Biomechanics. During her time as a Razorback, she earned SEC Freshman of the Year, 1st Team All-SEC, 1998 Final Four, and drafted #17 to the WNBA Charlotte Sting. After her playing career ended, she worked as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Valparaiso, Purdue, and Arkansas, and a head coach at UIW. The mother of three stays busy watching her three children play sports throughout the year. Her degrees in Kinesiology led her to Innovations Medical, as a consultant, to help guide patients with understanding the best procedures available to them.
