Removal Of Unwanted Fat

Want to get rid of unwanted fat? Doesn’t everyone? If you’re serious about getting rid of unwanted fat, you have a few options. First, you can eat a healthy diet and exercise, which we always encourage. Second, you can get a little help in the form of fat removal. But, with many different types of fat-removal treatments available on the market, such as Smart Lipo and CoolSculpting, how do you decide which one is best for you?

What Is Smart Lipo?

Smart Lipo is a minimally invasive, advanced form of liposuction that not only removes unwanted fat, but also provides additional skin-tightening benefits by boosting collagen production. This skin-tightening benefit is a significant bonus for you because it means more contours and a shapelier final result. Smart Lipo also allows for greater fat removal and the ability to target a specific area.

What Are the Pros and Cons of Smart Lipo?

In addition to fat removal and skin-tightening benefits, Smart Lipo is very versatile and can be used in many different body areas, such as the thighs, abdomen and even the armpits and chest to remove large amounts of unwanted fat. Results are also seen very quickly, and the procedure is often combined with other body procedures.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting, also known as Cryolipolysis, is a noninvasive fat-reduction treatment that reduces (but does not remove) fat through selective freezing of fat cells. After the fat cells are frozen, the fat inside them is released. The cells die and the fat is processed by the body and moved to another area. The inventors of the procedure claim to reduce bulges of unwanted fat in treated body areas by 20 to 25 percent.

What Are the Pros and Cons of CoolSculpting?

One of the benefits of CoolSculpting is that it is noninvasive, unlike liposuction, which requires a very tiny incision. It also requires no downtime and has minimal risks, although a recent report has found that the procedure can lead to a condition known as paradoxical adipose hyperplasia or PAH. PAH can occur in one out of every 4,000 patients. It is a condition in which a thickened or enlarged area of localized fat develops following Cryolipolysis treatment.

One of the drawbacks of CoolSculpting is that results are not seen quickly; patients need several treatments to see results in a treatment area. CoolSculpting is also not as dynamic as liposuction regarding the areas it can be used.
