Innovations Medical Treatments to Slow the Effects of Aging
Dr. Johnson explains how you can fight aging by stimulating collagen and using procedures such as Botox, Thermage, Fraxel Re:store and Dual Treatment and Clear+Brilliant, and SmartXide DOT, to smooth and tighten skin and reduce the appearance of age spots, wrinkles, blemishes, and scars.
SmartXide Dot C02 Laser
The SmartXide Dot C02 Laser can be used for wrinkle reduction, acne scar reduction, and skin damage removal on any part of the face including eyelids. It works by removing a customized pattern of dots from the skin surface. This differs from older laser skin resurfacing techniques, which typically remove the top layer of skin entirely. Treatment with SmartXide Dot Therapy results in only a few days downtime and patients can apply make-up within a couple of days after treatment. During the procedure, the patient’s skin can tighten up to 20 percent. Only topical anesthetic is needed for the treatment. Dot Therapy is great for lighter skin types, but unfortunately cannot be used on darker skin.
Fraxel Re:store And Dual Treatment
Fraxel Re:store and Dual Treatment offers amazing efficacy with minimal amounts of downtime and patient discomfort. Designed specifically for the treatment of skin pigmentation, melasma, fine lines & wrinkles, acne scarring, and stretch marks. Fraxel procedures are an excellent option for the patient that wants great results, but cannot afford any downtime. It is also one of the few laser resurfacing procedures on the market that is safe for darker skin types such as Indian, Asian, or African American skin.
Thermage procedures are used for the face and neck, abdomen, arms, legs, and buttocks skin tightening. Thermage can produce an immediate tightening of the skin, followed by the formation of new collagen, which continues to result in smoother, more toned skin for up to twelve months. It only requires one treatment. Other skin tightening procedures require 5-7 treatments to see results. Innovations Medical has been recognized as one of the most experienced Thermage practice in the US by Thermage®.
FAMI – Fat Transfer To The Face
FAMI is an advanced technique for facial fat transfer. By using a map of your facial muscles and pictures of your face at age 18-25, Dr. Bill Johnson can plan fat injections to restore fat volume into your face and help you look younger, and more refreshed. Using your own fat from unwanted areas, the fat becomes the perfect facial filler. Facial Fat Transfer is performed while you are awake in our Fort Worth and Dallas offices. The procedure takes 2-3 hours and does have a week or so of swelling and 1-2 weeks of bruising, especially on the cheeks. The face tends to look great by a month, but final results are not seen for 6 months.
ThermaDot is a new resurfacing treatment combo available at Innovations Medical. ThermaDot combines treatments from Thermage CPT and SmartXide Dot Therapy to provide some very exciting results in the face area. By combining these two procedures, Innovations Medical can treat age spots, wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, texture issues, and loose skin at the same time. ThermaDot is usually performed during the same visit and is one of our most comprehensive facial treatments available. For patients wanting the ultimate experience, try combining ThermaDot with Facial Fat Transfer. The Dot Therapy/Fraxel portion will need to be done separately when combining with Facial Fat Transfer.
The quest for a youthful appearance has never been easier. Advances in facial fillers and injectables have opened the doors for quick, in-office procedures, with no downtime and very fast results. Innovations Medical offers injectables that help wrinkles, fine lines, deep folds, and volume rejuvenation. Dr. Johnson offers Botox, Xeomin, Restylane, Radiesse, and Belotero.
