Did you know that your glutes are one of the biggest muscle groups of your body? That’s right. It’s a group of three muscles: the gluteus minimus, medius, and Maximus. The exercises listed here can help to build all three of these muscles, and as a bonus, will also help you get super-sexy legs, as these exercises help shape other muscles including your hamstrings, quads, and calves.  You can do these exercises with your own body weight, so no need to join a gym just yet.

Add additional reps. Jumping Lunge. From the standing position, take a step forward with your right foot and drop your back knee while bending your front knee 90 degrees, keeping your knee directly over your toes. Jump up and switch your legs, landing in a lunge with your opposite foot forward. Do this for three sets of 12 to 20. Butt Thruster. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Next, put your weight on your heels and lift up your toes, while simultaneously lifting up your hips. Squeeze your glutes when you get to the top. Lower your hips back to starting position. We suggest doing this exercise for three sets of 12 to 20 reps. Hip Extension. This one tightens up the glutes, hamstrings, and abs. Position yourself on all fours, with your spine in a neutral position. Tighten your abs, then lift your right knee off the floor, keeping it bent. Press it up and back, while pointing the sole of your foot toward the ceiling, keeping it flexed. Do three sets of 12 to 20 reps on the right and then on the left. If this sounds like a lot of work, that’s because it is! Getting the butt of your dreams this way will take a while – and exercise only adds just a little volume to your booty.
