March Med – When One Size Fits All … Doesn’t

One size fits all is a term that does not apply to cellulite treatments or other cosmetic services.

There are very few things that are truly one size fits all. Earrings? Hairnets? Maybe beach towels? Many things that claim to fit all usually don’t – they end up too big for some people, too small for others and just right for very few individuals. So, why would you want a one-size-fits-all cellulite treatment plan? That’s right. You don’t. What you want is a personalized approach; what you want is a cellulite treatment from Innovations Medical.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is the term for lumpy, dimpled flesh that can appear on the thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen and even the upper arms. Cellulite, although not a life-threatening medical condition, can cause many people to feel self-conscious about how they look in shorts, skirts, bathing suits or, of course, naked. See our web page https://innovationsmedical.com/cosmetic-services/cellulite-treatment/

What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite develops when fat deposits push through the connective tissue that lies beneath the skin. In other areas, dimples are produced when connective tissue bands work as tethers and pull down the skin.  This occurs as a result of a few factors: aging, genetics, weight, and changes in hormones that occur during pregnancy and menopause. Cellulite happens to more women than men – at a rate of nine to one!

Why A Personal Cellulite Treatment Plan?

Why Do I Need a Personal Cellulite Treatment Plan? Well, because your cellulite is different from everyone else’s cellulite. Since your cellulite situation is unique, it needs a unique approach to how it is treated. We offer several different treatment options to help reduce the appearance of your cellulite and give you back your confidence, see our page on Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite Treatment Methods:

Smooth Shape

SmoothShapes is our preferred method for treating classic cellulite (round or oval dimples) and is excellent in treating most cellulite that occurs on the back of the thigh or buttocks. See our page for more information on SmoothShapes Cellulite Treatment

Thermage

Thermage is our favorite weapon in dealing with linear cellulite (lines or wavy irregularities) and cellulite on the front of the thigh. SmoothShapes and Thermage Patients who have a mixed pattern of cellulite (round or oval plus lines or waves) are usually treated with Smooth Shapes first and then may want to add Thermage Cellulite Reduction, too, for better results. If the combination of these treatments does not give you the results you’re looking for, we also offer other options.

Acoustic Way Therapy (AWT)

What Is AWT? One of those treatments is AWT, also known as Acoustic Wave Therapy. It is a way to break down contracted pillars that cause dimpling and unevenness. When the pillars are broken down, the treated area becomes smoother, and new collagen begins to form.

Cellulase Liposuction

What If You Still Don’t See Smooth Results? If you have very deep dimples that are not responding to cellulite treatment, all hope is not lost. We also offer patients Cellulase liposuction to destroy and remove fat cells that have erupted through the subcutaneous layer. Cellulase also causes the body to produce more collagen, which pulls the skin tighter and helps smooth it out.

Fat Transfer or Fat Shifting for Deep Cellulite Dimples

Fat Transfer For very deep dimples, a fat transfer is ideal. During a fat transfer, fat from another body area is moved into the dimpled area to fill in dimples and smooth the surface. At Innovations Medical, treating cellulite is very individualized, and some patients require more than one treatment.

We can design a personalized treatment plan to give you the results you need in the time you want them. Let us create a plan for you. Call 214-643-8665 today!
