Before the Stem Cell Face-Lift procedure, Dr. Johnson must harvest your stem cells from an area of your body with unwanted fat, such as your lower back or abdomen. Before the liposuction procedure, the harvest area is numbed, a small incision is made and the liposuction is performed using a specialized cannula. After the liposuction portion of your procedure, Dr. Johnson will take the harvested stem cells and inject them into your face using tiny needles.
The Stem Cell Face-Lift can be performed alone or in combination with a facial fat transfer for optimal anti-aging benefits. Combining the two procedures increases the rate of cell survival by 20 percent. Stem cell injections also induce the body to increase the production of collagen, the essential skin protein responsible for the skin’s ability to stretch and retract.
